The night before their wedding, Emily and Nelson decided to do something extra special – a portrait session in their rehearsal dinner outfits! It was such a fun way to kick off their wedding weekend and capture a little extra magic in downtown Scranton.
We started our session right in the heart of downtown Scranton, where the classic architecture gave us that perfect mix of charm and city energy. Emily and Nelson looked absolutely stunning (seriously, they could have walked straight off a magazine cover!). The way they laughed, held hands, and leaned into each other made every photo feel natural and effortless.
After exploring the city, we made our way to The Colonnade, one of Scranton’s most elegant event venues. The Colonnade is such a gem for portraits – its gorgeous architecture and timeless atmosphere made the perfect backdrop for their photos. Whether it was snuggling on the steps or stealing quiet moments in between smiles, Emily and Nelson brought so much joy and love to every frame.
As a Scranton wedding photographer, sessions like this are a dream. It’s not just about the big wedding day moments, it’s about finding ways to tell the whole story. Doing portraits before the wedding day is such a fun way to get comfortable in front of the camera, soak in the excitement, and add another layer of memories to your weekend!
If you’re planning a wedding in NEPA and want to capture more than just your wedding day, think about adding a portrait session in Scranton. Whether it’s downtown, at your venue, or somewhere meaningful to you, it’s the perfect way to celebrate your love and get even more photos that you’ll cherish forever.
Emily and Nelson’s wedding weekend was already incredible, but this little pre-wedding portrait session made it even more special. I can’t wait to share more from their big day soon!
